1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Who we are

1.2 What personal information we collect

Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:

• Name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method
• Whether you are a parent/guardian or student, school, year level and subjects
• Availability, goals, tutor-tier preference and enquiry details you submit
• Payment and booking details needed to deliver sessions (for example via invoice or scheduling tools)
• Technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited (via standard website hosting and analytics, if used)

We do not ask for more information than we reasonably need to respond to your enquiry or provide tutoring.

1.3 How we collect information

• Directly from you (enquiry form, email, phone, SMS, Google Meet or in person)
• From a parent/guardian on behalf of a student under 18
• Through third-party tools we use to operate the business (for example Formspree for form delivery and Calendly for consultations)

We use personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries and match students with tutors

We will not sell your personal information.

1.5 Children and students under 18

Our services are often arranged by parents or guardians for school-aged students. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian submit enquiries and enter into tutoring arrangements on your behalf where required. We treat student education information carefully and only share it with tutors and staff involved in delivering the service.

1.6 Disclosure to others

We may share personal information with:

• Our tutors and team members who need it to deliver the service
• Service providers who help us operate (for example form processors, email, scheduling, hosting or payment providers), under appropriate confidentiality arrangements
• Regulators, courts or others where required or authorised by Australian law

Some providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled carefully.

1.7 Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

1.8 How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example tax or record-keeping obligations), then delete or de-identify it where practical.

2. Terms of Use

2.1 Agreement

These Terms apply to your use of our website and to tutoring and related services you purchase or arrange with us. If you book for a student under 18, you confirm you are a parent/guardian (or authorised carer) and can agree on their behalf.

2.2 Services

We offer private tutoring, assignment review, masterclasses/workshops and related support as described on this website. Session details, pricing and inclusions are set out on our Rates and Services pages, or confirmed in writing before you start.

We aim to match students carefully, but we do not guarantee a particular ATAR, subject score, university offer or other academic outcome. Results depend on many factors outside tutoring alone.

2.3 Bookings, cancellations and refunds

• Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a booked tutoring session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged at the full session rate.
• Assignment review fees are payable as quoted for the selected turnaround. Refunds for completed or substantially completed work are generally not available, except where required by law.
• Masterclass/workshop fees are as advertised or confirmed at booking. Cancellations may be offered a credit or refund at our reasonable discretion if we cancel a session.

Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy.

2.4 Payments

Fees are in Australian dollars and are payable as invoiced or otherwise agreed. We may pause or cancel future sessions if invoices remain unpaid after a reasonable reminder.

2.5 Conduct and safety

Students, parents and tutors must treat each other respectfully. We may suspend or end services if there is abusive, unsafe or dishonest behaviour, or if required information is withheld. Online sessions should be conducted in an appropriate environment.

2.6 Intellectual property

Website content, lesson resources, materials and branding provided by Vantage Tutoring remain our property (or our licensors’). You may use materials only for the student’s personal study. You must not copy, share, sell or publish our resources without written permission.

2.7 Website use

You must not misuse the website (including attempting to disrupt it, scrape content at scale, or submit false information). Website content is provided for general information and may change without notice.

2.8 Third-party services

Links or tools such as Calendly, Formspree, Google, LinkedIn or Instagram are operated by third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use those services.

2.9 Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law (and subject always to the ACL and other non-excludable rights):

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of opportunity, marks or admission outcomes
• Our total liability for any claim arising from a tutoring engagement is limited to the fees you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim

2.10 Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the website or services after an update means you accept the revised version for future dealings.

2.11 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and Australia. Courts in Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any rights you have as a consumer.
